T-shirts and WYGF retail therapy

We are on the final countdown to this year’s festival and WYGF HQ is a veritable hive of activity. There’s always time for a quick update however, to tell you a little more about some of the retail therapy opportunities available at WYGF09.

We’re really thrilled to be welcoming back Miles Roberts from Kent Guitar Classics, who was such a bit hit at WYGF07. I’ve got a sneak preview from him as to some of the stock he will be bringing along next week, and I must say there will be a huge variety of guitars ranging from the super student classics such as the Prudencio Saez models and Camps guitars (definite thumbs up from me for this one as I have one myself for teaching) right up to some Jose Antonio ‘Fleta’ and ‘Hauser’ copies. Miles tells me that there will also be a couple of extra special goodies at the top end of the range, but he’s not letting on what he’s got … well, we all like surprises!

Newcomers to WYGF09 are the London Guitar Studio who will be providing our music shop with a massive spread of music and accessories for you to get your mitts on. LGS’s Steph Shaw will be in residence for the whole festival so there will be plenty of opportunity to pick her brains about repertoire – she’s really knowledgeable and extremely helpful – so don’t be shy! London Guitar Studio have also generously donated a fabulous guitar to the WYGF raffle.

That brings me very nicely on to the WYGF merchandise. We’re all very excited to have our very own WYGF T-shirts / Polo shirts / Hoodies  designed by renowned Hampshire artist, Gill Robinson. These can all be personalised on the back at an extra cost of £1 per word. You have the choice of black or white with the rather striking WYGF design on the back.

We will be taking orders at the start of the festival – and will get them personalised and delivered to your door … well maybe not your door exactly, but I’m sure we could haul them as far as the WYGF info desk! As if that wasn’t enough, you can also become the proud owner of a WYGF baseball cap, as modeled by all our mentors, for the bargain price of £3 – there is limited stock available though so first come, first served.
